Many think that dotting all your i’s and crossing all your t’s is what God requires in order to bless His people. It is important to understand we serve a God who looks beyond our faults and sees our need for Him. God does not use us because we are perfect; rather, He uses our imperfections to bring Him glory. We do not exercise sin, but we press forward in God through our day-to-day striving to be like Christ.
While pressing in God, life presses upon us. At times, the pressures of life can become so overwhelming we do not know how we will make it through the next hour, let alone the day; but somehow, we make it. All the glory goes to Christ Jesus. We must realize that there is nothing we can experience in this life that can compare to the many stripes Jesus took for us and the six hours He endured on the cross for our sake.
All of our excuses have been nailed to the cross. All of our struggles have been nailed to the cross. No more slothfulness, no more excuses, no more guilt. We must not allow our life experiences, good or bad, to prohibit us from persevering in Christ. All of our day-to-day experiences while walking with Christ are not designed to break us; they are designed to make us better Christians.
This book is a good read for the newborn Christian, refreshing for the mature Christian, hopeful to the single Christian, encouraging to the wounded soldier, reproaching to the lukewarm saint, and compelling to the unbeliever. Every day we are being made over and over again by The Potter. As long as we are on this earth, we will continue to experience life. Life consists of happy moments, sad moments, confusing moments, angry moments, bereaved moments, and many more. Our relationship with Christ must remain steadfast through every moment, understanding that we are still in the making.
